Individual Counselling Therapy

My Therapeutic Approach

I believe that having a strong sense of identity can be a powerful foundation for navigating life’s challenges. My approach is collaborative and person-centred—I work with you to explore therapeutic methods that best support your individual needs and preferences.

I’m committed to creating a space that is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, LGBTQI+ inclusive, and culturally sensitive. My goal is to ensure you feel safe, understood, and empowered throughout our work together.

I use an eclectic and flexible approach to counselling, drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities to support self-understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful change. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Counselling and Narrative Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Solution-Focused Counselling

  • Positive Psychology

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotional and Physical Regulation Strategies

  • Communication and Social Skill Support

I support clients with a range of presentations, including but not limited to:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Autism Spectrum Conditions

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Stress and Burnout

  • Family, Social, and Workplace Issues

  • Communication and Relationship Challenges

  • Executive Functioning Difficulties and Emotional Dysregulation

I work with adults and adolescents aged 15 and over.

I’m also able to incorporate Mandarin Chinese and Thai into sessions if needed.

Alongside individual counselling, I facilitate small group therapy sessions designed to foster connection, shared understanding, and personal growth in a supportive and affirming environment. These sessions are grounded in the same core values that guide my individual work—neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally sensitive.

Each group runs virtually with 5–6 participants and is 75 minutes in duration, held once a month. Each group theme unfolds over a few weeks, exploring related topics that allow for deeper reflection and ongoing connection. This structure encourages a sense of safety, camaraderie, and continuity among participants.

These spaces are especially supportive for individuals who may feel alone or misunderstood in their experiences. The group setting allows for shared learning, collective insight, and validation in a way that individual therapy alone may not offer.

If you're interested in learning more about upcoming group themes or would like to explore whether group therapy may be a good fit for you, please reach out and I'm happy to chat further about what’s coming up.

I also recognise that group work can bring up things that require more personalised support. For that reason, I can further support any participant who would like individual time to process in more depth, in an one-on-one setting, alongside the group program.

To ensure that groups are a good fit and a safe space for all participants, we will have a brief 30-minute introductory session before you join the group. This allows us to get to know one another, clarify your needs and goals, and determine whether the group setting is right for you at this time. Please note that these groups are not suitable for crisis management or acute mental health support.

If you're curious about joining or have a topic you'd like to see covered, you're invited to reach out with any enquiries or expressions of interest.
